About me

I have a Masters degree in integrative counselling and psychotherapy and I draw upon person centred, humanistic and psychodynamic theory to help you explore the impact of past experiences that continue to have an impact on you in the present.

Whilst we are each unique, we can all struggle at times. I see the difficulties we experience as understandable, normal human responses to distressing experiences. I also believe we are all capable of growth, given the right conditions, and that supportive relationships help us to heal and flourish.

Our first session

Therapy is a very personal activity and it important that I am the right therapist for you.  For this reason, I offer an initial meeting free of charge. This appointment is 30 minutes long, so shorter than a normal session, but it gives us an opportunity to meet and see if we would like to work together.  You can also ask any questions you may have about counselling and the therapeutic process.

If we agree to work together, I will offer you a regular weekly appointment.  We can agree to work on a short term (up to 20 sessions) or longer term basis and review this as we go.
